FIRST
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
CIVILITY
The
purpose of this Conference is
to shed light on how civility (courtesy and pro-social behavior)
and incivility
and discourtesy play an important role in human interaction
in face-to-face
encounters, group relations and in relations between nations and civilizations.
Sociologists, anthropologists, political scientists,
social psychologists, communications specialists,
philosophers, social and
political theorists, global culture specialists, historians, conflict-resolution
specialists,
educators, family education specialists, and other members of
the social science community
are invited to submit papers addressing the above
topic from theoretical and applied points of view.
We also welcome a limited
number of shorter essays.
The papers presented
at the Conference will qualify for inclusion in
a specially edited book entitled,
'CIVILITY AND SOCIETY'
